The Pub

Location, location, location... The pub is situated directly on the south Cornish coast in the village of Downderry in Cornwall. The area is readily accessible via the A38 and within a short drive off this, you arrive at the ocean and this stunning property.

By heading west on foot from the pub along the coastal path you reach Looe and shortly beyond this is the Polperro Heritage Coast. All of this means that this stretch of coastline is an extremely popular tourist destination in addition to being well-loved by residents from the surrounding areas. Dog walking, surfing, beach goers and intrepid explorers are all to be seen here which complements the trade no matter what time of year.

Following a stunning makeover in 2019, this pub has also been extended to provide additional indoor covers and 4 extra guest bedrooms.

Central to the success is the epic outdoors, already boasting a stunning sun deck complete with high poser tables and low level seating across two levels, we have plans to enhance this further. We will create an additional seating area to the side of the property, adding an outside bar with loft space and an external kitchen to support these additional covers and provide a point of difference to make this great pub stand out from the competition.
