Commercial Finance Business Partner – George Sourcing
Based at George House in Lutterworth
Fixed term – 12 months
The Clothing finance team business partners the trading functions to provide commercial analysis and support, to maximise business performance.
This role is to business partner George Sourcing with the opportunity to interact and influence at Senior Director and Vice President level.
You will support strategic decisions in relation to geographic mix, end to end costing, rebates, supplier risk management and other new initiatives to deliver ‘Cost of Goods’ savings.
As the finance business partner your analysis support in understanding the impact of currency exchange rate variances will be a key element for 2019 in response to Brexit.
You will be responsible for understanding and driving improvements in the commercial performance, stimulating strategic decision making, driving financial discipline and accountability.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Drive delivery of the 2018 ‘Cost of Goods’ savings of £30m, challenging where appropriate to ensure that targets are met.Analyse and enhance commercial tools to model the impact of exchange rate fluctuations, to provide accurate financial forecasts and support financial planning.Provide trading and sourcing functions with Margin Building Blocks for their seasonal plans to ensure external economic factors (Ex. rates, labour rates, wage inflation etc.) are incorporated within the buying team’s strategy.Deliver analytics at supplier level and identify margin opportunities Be an integral part of the ‘End to End’ project to understand true margins by territory, supplier and item after factoring all logistic costsIdentify and recommend opportunities to reduce costs and increase visibility of spend on areas such as freight, overseas product consolidation, UK de-consolidation and 3rd party storageDevelop best practice for supplier risk managementReport and forecast performance on George Franchise Partners, including partner profitability analysis
